Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville empire continues to expand with a rebranding of two resorts in Missouri and Costa Rica—both of which cater to groups.
“We are thrilled to combine the fun and escapism of our brand with these iconic locations
and provide additional opportunities for our guests to relax and have a great time, which is
what we are all about,” says John Cohlan, CEO of Margaritaville.
Tan-Tar-A Resort
The 500-room property in Osage Beach, Mo., spans Lake of the Ozarks shoreline, creating the quintessential “It’s 5’O Clock Somewhere” mentality for groups. Not only does it offer more than 91,000 sf of meeting space, but it also features 27 holes of golf across two courses, eight F&B venues, horse and pony riding, and several other sports facilities, including tennis, basketball and beach volleyball. Of course, its 103-slip marina makes it easy for groups to get out on the water, while its 20,000-sf indoor waterpark will bring out the kid in just about any attendee.
Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa
Located in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, the 120-room resort also offers groups an oceanfront escape. Eco-conscious groups will appreciate its location on the ecological Flamingo Beach. The property also features a pool with a swim-up bar, an oceanfront restaurant and lounge, watersports, a spa, tennis court and fitness center. Meeting facilities are also available, including a private venue overlooking the ocean. For offsite excursions, scuba diving, sea fishing, jungle canopy tours and day trips to the area’s Arenal Volcano are also available for groups.
Renovations at both resorts started this summer, and both will stay open for the remainder of the projects.
