United MeetingsWith the plan to retrofit aircraft with more than 1,600 new premium seats in motion, United turns its gaze to the MICE sector.

The new meetings portal, United Meetings, aims to streamline planners’ requests while also providing flexible discounts—extended to travel on United’s Star Alliance and joint venture partners—within one business day. United Meetings also aims for instant amenity redemption that turns attendees travel funds into rewards, whether beverage coupons, travel certificates, United Club passes or memberships. The portal is available on the airline’s business portal, United Jetstream.

Speaking to the long-haul mission of United Meetings, Jake Cefolia, SVP of worldwide sales at United, said, “At United, our mission is to connect people and unite the world. This new meetings portal on Jetstream allows us to do just that by making it easier and more rewarding to bring people together for meetings, events, conferences and more.”

“This new meetings portal on Jetstream allows us to … bring people together for meetings, events, conferences and more.”

Personalized reports on the site keeps planners updated on rewards and attendance by “tracking the number of tickets booked, flights flown, amenities funds earned and the number of tickets needed for the next amenity award,” according to the airline.

The United Meetings portal is available for MICE events of 10 or more attendees.
