Chase Park Plaza

The historic Chase Park Plaza, a St. Louis landmark since opening in 1922, will join Sonesta International Hotels Corporation’s collection of Royal Sonesta hotels in the U.S.

When the 338-room hotel transitions to the Royal Sonesta brand, it will provide the same luxury accommodations that once hosted the likes of Frank Sinatra and Jimmy Carter back in their hey day. Top execs will particularly appreciate the 50 apartment-like, luxury suites in the beautifully preserved Art Deco building. A Mediterranean-style courtyard pool surrounded by fountains and stone porticoes as well as a heated swimming pool and a historic, five-screen movie theater—especially perfect for groups hoping to screen films or presentations—round out the timeless luxury experience.

The property also takes food seriously with a Food Is Art philosophy. That means in each of the property’s four restaurants—The Chase Club, The Preston, Sidecar and The Tenderloin Room—the culinary team creates locally inspired dishes using farm-to-table ingredients in a fun and creative way. Delicious steaks are available at The Tenderloin Room, while groups can experience inventive shareable dishes at The Preston. The gastropub fare at the poolside Chase Club and light menu at Sidecar also give attendees a quick place to grab lunch or an evening snack after a day of meetings.

The hotel brings its same luxury vibe to the group experience as well in its more than 65,000 sf of meeting space—several spaces of which feature vintage chandeliers and views of the city skyline for added appeal. Groups won’t want to miss the Legacy Room, located on the hotel’s lower level, which features hundreds of images and artifacts that tout the hotel’s history.
