Disney adds new team-building sessions, program openers and a reimagined creative studio.

Planners know to expect innovation, creativity and unique team-building experiences at Disney’s seven worldwide destinations. Now, Disney Meetings & Events has just launched a slew of new products and resources aimed to further help execute memorable meetings and incentives from the ground up. “These new products and experiences build on a legacy of meeting and event expertise that spans more than half a century,” said Ramiro Vazquez, vice president, Disney Destination Gatherings. “They’re also the latest example of the innovative ways we help organizations deliver on business objectives, elevate critical moments of an event and deliver experiences that attendees will never forget.”

Team-Building Sessions

New signature team-building and networking sessions were designed to increase attendee engagement and retention using Disney inspiration. They include a competitive team-building event based on the stories and adventures of Star Wars, a networking event inspired by Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean,” a creative team-building activity inspired by Pixar’s “Toy Story” and “Monsters, Inc,” and more.

General Session Openers

Developed by Disney event architects who design shows for theme parks, cruise ships and stages, program openers were designed to jump start meetings in a positive way. They are customizable for size and budget. Four new openers have been added to the lineup. “Digital Power Entrance” is a high-energy, audiovisual, musical kickoff that unifies attendees with a cinematic experience showcasing the group’s own brand. “Technically Singing” is designed to surprise attendees and draw them in with a musical introduction of a host or executive. “Unwritten” is a heartwarming presentation designed to bring attendees together and inspire them to dream big. “Karaoke Surprise” is a fun twist on a karaoke performance.

Creative Studio Reimagined

A reimagined creative studio will be unveiled at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL in early 2025. The stand-alone facility will be a creative hub where planners can collaborate with the Meetings & Events team. The studio’s vast resources for meeting professionals will include everything from entertainment and content to décor, floral, audio visual, catering and more. “The Disney Creative Studio is a differentiator in the industry,” said Amy Pfeiffer, director of Disney Meetings & Events at Walt Disney World Resort. “It’s an inspirational setting dedicated to helping meeting professionals create the most impactful experiences and events. And it’s rooted in the Disney ethos of creativity, innovation and fun.”
