PCMA’s flagship conference brings its signature programming to Columbus, Ohio January 8-11.
The Professional Conference Management Association’s (PCMA) dynamic gathering of business event professionals, Convening Leaders, promises to be an epic event this year. From January 8 to 11, the experience includes a stellar lineup of speakers and entertainers, plus networking with industry trailblazers, in Columbus, Ohio at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
The large roster of speakers includes business luminary Carly Fiorina, founder and chairman Carly Fiorina enterprises, and leadership and innovation author Leo Piccioli, sharing insights on their personal leadership style in a presentation called “3 Questions About Leadership”; 5-time track & field Olympian Allyson Felix—who charted a course that took her past her comfort zone and is making an impact far beyond her record-breaking personal successes—on “Standing Up for What You Believe In”; and YouTube stars Thomas Brag & Ammar Kandil of Yes Theory speaking on how to “Embrace Uncertainty to Reach your Full Potential”.
Opening day keynoter and organizational psychologist Adam Grant will get to the bottom of the Great Resignation and quiet quitting with a presentation called “Why Do We Have to Worship at the Altar of Hustle?”, and closing keynoter, iconic best-selling author Daniel Pink, will share simple, science-based tips on how to replenish your drive, motivate your team, take back your time, and sharpen your decisions in the year ahead in “Restore Motivation, Battle Burnout, and Jumpstart Your 2023.”
And that’s just a sampling of the compelling content at Convening Leaders this year. Among more, Viola Davis, Academy Award-winning actor, producer and philanthropist, will deliver a powerful closing day message, sharing the humble journey that led to her revered career and give insights into how PCMA’s global community can illuminate the narratives of the voiceless.
In what’s sure to be a memorable highlight, PCMA and Experience Columbus, the destination marketing organization (DMO) for the Columbus region have announced that award winning singer-songwriter and pianist John Legend will return to his home state to perform during the conference’s Networking Reception Tuesday evening, Jan. 10, 2023, at Nationwide Arena. The performance is exclusive to fully registered Convening Leaders participants.
“John Legend and his incredible artistry are perfectly aligned with PCMA’s values and the power our global business events industry brings to society,” notes PCMA and CEMA President and CEO Sherrif Karamat, CAE. “I could not be more thrilled for all who will be joining us for Convening Leaders and who have the opportunity to experience such an inspirational performance that can’t be missed.”
