Meet Well: Healthier Meetings and a Healthier You

Prevue’s Meet Well Summit has a dual mission: to share ideas for healthier meetings and to inspire attendees to achieve their personal wellness goals.

Meet Well, held this week at Sunseeker Resort in Charlotte Harbor, Fla., delivered on that mission—starting with the resort itself, a new and extraordinary property located on a little-known section of Southwest Florida’s Gulf Coast midway between Sarasota and Fort Myers, and expressly designed for meetings.

Our guests were given the VIP treatment, from creative and inspired F&B to the most thoughtful room amenity: an Australian wool blanket and a cheese board and wood-and-stone coasters tastefully embossed with the Sunseeker logo (a stylized sun).

Then there was the program itself, kicking off with a candid talk on mental health led by Janice Cardinale, followed by Dave Stevens rocking the room with his amazing wellness energy and chef Melissa Sherwood talking superfoods. Wrapping it all up with a bow was the lovely Sonia Satra, former star of Guiding Life and One Life to Live, who passionately coached us on achieving our dreams.

Did I mention the destination? Attendees had a chance to visit the charming Fishermen’s Village, located just across the harbor from the resort, and catch a million dollar sunset on a cruise by King Fisher Fleet. Then half the group moved on to a FAM sponsored by the Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor and Convention Bureau, visiting venues including the Peace River Botanical and Sculpture Gardens and the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center.

Many thanks to our sponsors: The Biltmore; Club Med; Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau; Destination DC; Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention & Visitors Bureau; Opal Collection; Ponte Vedra Inn & Club; Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor and Convention Bureau; Sensira Resorts; Visit Orlando; Visit St. Pete/Clearwater; Stein Ericksen Lodge; Visit Park City Convention & Visitors Bureau; Visit Sarasota; Visit Tampa Bay; and Voco Sarasota, and to our Partners: Access, who added their special touch to the decor, and Joycoast, a terrific source for creative sunglasses, with 10 trees planted for every pair sold. Last but not least, a special thank you to Sunseeker Resort for hosting us!
