Financial rewards and more than 40 special hotel offers in the LA area are available to planners through June 30, 2025.
Planners know the diverse and enduring appeal of Los Angeles, America’s entertainment capital and one of the most famous areas on the planet. With more than 30 culturally rich neighborhoods, 75 miles of beautiful shoreline, more museums and performing arts venues than any other U.S. city and an innovative culinary scene, LA offers singular opportunities for memorable meetings and incentives. Now, a new program from Los Angles Tourism offers added incentives for booking a meeting or incentive there. Special offers are valid through June 30, 2025. They are part of LA Tourism’s “Now Playing” campaign which highlights major events in the Los Angeles area in the coming months.
“Over the next several months, Los Angeles will host hundreds of events,” said Adam Burke, President & CEO, Los Angeles Tourism. “The Now Playing campaign highlights the concept of play and unique ‘only-in-LA’ experiences that make meetings and events [here] truly unforgettable. Our hotel community has united to provide a range of incentives, which can be seamlessly combined with LA Tourism’s ‘Destination Offer.’ This partnership enhances experiences for meeting planners and reinforces LA as the ultimate destination for meetings and events, where every gathering is transformed into a one-of-a-kind experience.”
Incentives and Offers
Planners who submit a qualified new event lead or RFP to the LA Tourism Sales team are eligible to receive a $50 gift card for 10 to 99 rooms, or a $100 gift card for 100 rooms or more during peak. Once a group is booked, planners are eligible to receive $10 per actualized room night, up to $5,000.
Hotel offers vary by property and may include upgrades, amenities, commissions and freebies such as Wi-Fi, vendor fees, meeting room rental fees and more. More than 40 hotel offers are available across the LA area, including in Downtown Los Angeles/LA Metro, Beach Cities/LAX, the Westside, The Valley and Greater Hollywood.
Convention Center Expansion
In other LA news, the Los Angeles City Council has voted to move forward with an expansion and modernization plan for the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC). Design plans, scheduling and costs will be finalized before construction begins in Spring 2025. The new construction will connect the two existing South and West Exhibit Halls by adding 190,000 square feet of space to create one contiguous hall, and will add 55,000 square feet of new meeting room space and 95,000 square feet of multipurpose space. The plan also includes a redesign of Gilbert Lindsay Plaza, which will add public open space and become an exciting outdoor venue for event programming. The project is due to be completed before the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in LA.
