With 320 days of sunshine, state-of-the-art meeting facilities, and world-class hotels and dining, there are many reasons to choose Las Vegas as the destination for your meeting or event.

Las Vegas offers many well-known, high-profile venues to choose from, so it can be easy to overlook some of the city’s unique alternative spaces, many of which offer appealing outdoor and customizable options for groups of all sizes.

Resorts World Las Vegas opened on the Strip in June 2021, and offers outdoor spaces including the 24,000-square-foot Rose Rooftop with views over the Strip and Las Vegas Boulevard, as well as the 3,000-square-foot Lily Ballroom terrace.

The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas offers unique spaces as well, such as The Chelsea, a 40,000-square-foot venue inspired by an abandoned glass factory turned working theater. Split over two levels, the transformable space features cast glass chandeliers, a vintage lobby bar, private VIP opera boxes, and a decorative grand staircase. The Marquee Dayclub is a 10,527-square-foot space in the resort’s pool area with capacity for up to 800 for a cocktail reception. The venue also features a 25,777-square-foot rooftop pool deck with 18 cabanas and two full-service bars.

Red Rock Resort is situated at the gateway to Red Rock Canyon but is also just 10 miles from the Strip. The resort boasts 100,000 square feet of customizable meeting space, with many venues offering large verandas and expansive balconies overlooking Red Rock Canyon. Other venues at the property include Crimson, an adult lounge with poolside terrace and 19 private cabanas; and Red Rock Lanes, a 72 lane bowling center with VIP suites.

Mandalay Bay

1923 Prohibition Bar is a hidden gem located inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The 3,700-square-foot space has a capacity for 200 people, and is a unique Speakeasy-themed venue available for private events. Featuring a Prohibition-inspired cocktail list and its own custom barrel-aged whiskey, the venue also has its own onsite catering team and can arrange entertainment including jazz bands, magicians, mentalists and burlesque dancers.

Beer Park on Las Vegas Boulevard is a rooftop restaurant and grill that offers views of the Bellagio Fountains. The 17,000-square-feet outdoor space can host up to 1,200 guests for reception events and up to 265 for seated dinners. It features more than 100 eclectic beer choices, including 36 beers on draft, as well as dozens of high-definition TVs and games such as shuffle board, pool and Jenga.

Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas at The Linq on Las Vegas Boulevard is one of the largest bowling venues in America, offering 32 lanes of bowling, six bars and food by NYC’s Blue Ribbon Restaurants. The venue has a total capacity for 3,000 people, including a 2,000-plus person performance area, and offers live music, its own nightclub, and programming through the day and night.

Celebrity Cars Las Vegas is a unique car gallery and event center located just minutes from the Strip. The 20,000-square-foot multipurpose venue is filled with millions of dollars of exotic and classic cars and motorcycles, and has a customizable layout that can be adapted for intimate gatherings or left open for larger events. The venue can host 550 people seated and up to 1,500 standing.

The Smith Center is a performing arts center in Downtown Las Vegas that offers 14 different venues, lobbies and outdoor spaces available for conferences, conventions and meetings. The 2,050-seat Reynolds Hall is the Center’s largest venue, while its 5,000-square-foot Grand Lobby can be used for a reception or arranged with custom seating for up to 220. The venue also features a 6,200-square-foot courtyard available for outdoor events, while larger events can make use of the 1.9-acre Donald W. Reynolds Symphony Park, a green space with views over Downtown Las Vegas.

SPEEDVEGAS boasts over 20,000 square feet of hospitality space on a 100-acre motorsports complex. Groups can drive or ride in one of the complex’s supercars on the 1.5-mile SPEEDVEGAS track. Event spaces include the 900-square-foot SPEED LOUNGE, ideal for small groups of up to 40 people; SPEED TERRACE, a 2,500-square-feet space close to the action with second-floor views over the racetrack; and SPEED AVENUE, a 6,500-square-feet space that can accommodate groups of up to 700 in a theater-style configuration. The three spaces can be combined for larger groups.

Neon Museum

The Neon Museum celebrates the history of Las Vegas through its iconic signs. The centerpiece of its 2.25-acre campus is an outdoor exhibition space known as the Neon Boneyard, which features more than 250 restored and unrestored signs from Las Vegas history. A 3,572-square-foot outdoor events area is available for evening catered events and can host up to 200 seated and 400 standing.

Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, opened in July 2020 and offers 10 different event spaces for groups as small as 25 or as many as 65,000 with a full stadium buyout. Spaces include the 44,500-square-foot Ford Plaza; the 6,100-square-foot Raiders Locker Room with capacity for up to 100; the 20,600-square-foot Cerveza Modelo Cantina Club with reception capacity of 3,500; and more. Customizable options for events include food trucks, photo-ops on the 50-yard line, and catch football on the end zone.

Wynn Las Vegas offers outdoor meeting options including its 20,000-square-foot Event Pavilion and adjacent 19,000-square-foot Event Lawn, with views over the Wynn Golf Club’s 18th hole fairway and signature waterfall. The property also features the 4,753-square-foot Sunset Terrace next to its pool complex, which can host receptions and outdoor dining. Other venues include Encore Beach Club, a multi-use space with a capacity of up to 3,500, which includes a nightclub that opens onto the 45,000-square-foot outdoor pool deck, as well as the 1,480-seat Encore Theatre ideal for large-scale company meetings and presentations.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas opened in March 2021 and offers 130,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, as well as a five-acre backyard with an expansive pool area and 17,000-square foot event lawn that can host up to 10,000 people. The resort also features a 4,500-person venue called The Theater, plus the Elia Beach Club with VIP packages for groups.

Other outdoor venue options include Stadium Swim at Circa Resort & Casino in Downtown Vegas, a multitiered pool amphitheater with six swimming pools facing a 40-foot-tall high-definition screen, available for private events or full buyouts, as well as Downtown Container Park, an outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment attraction constructed from repurposed shipping containers. The venue offers an event lawn that can host up to 300 guests and features a live entertainment stage with lighting and sound system.

Meet Smart, Vegas Smart

The Meet Smart, Vegas Smart initiative includes guides to policies and procedures that will allow planners and groups to get back to business with confidence. As well as updates on Las Vegas’ current COVID-19 restrictions and recommendations, the site includes virtual tours of the city’s venues and event spaces, links to resorts’ individual health and safety plans, and a link to the state of Nevada’s COVID Trace app. This free contact-tracing mobile phone app was developed by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, and can notify attendees if they have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
