In honor of Bike Month this May, Kimpton Florida hotels encourage groups to participate in bike-building workshops at four Kimpton properties across the state from now through the end of summer.
The team building activity helps corporate teams practice organization, delegation and communication in addition to the mechanical skills needed to assemble the bikes—all while supporting a good cause. Once completed, the bikes will be donated to one local children’s charity in each of the four Kimpton-property communities.
The individual Kimpton properties will also team up with local bike shops that will provide an experienced bicycle mechanic who can instruct attendees as well as provide the necessary parts to build the bikes. Using the tools and parts they need to build the bikes, teams of four will work closely throughout the 1.5- to two-hour session, enhancing professional relationships and encouraging better communication that can later translate into the workplace.
The four participating hotels include Kimpton EPIC Hotel and Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel in Miami, Kimpton Vero Beach & Spa in Vero Beach and Kimpton Hotel Zamora in St. Pete Beach. All four properties feature beautiful views of the coast matched by a variety of indoor and outdoor event spaces for groups to meet before or after the bike-building workshop. A mix of rooftop lounges and private dining options on the beach remind groups exactly why they would want to give back to these Sunshine State communities.
