Attractions are one of the easiest ways to incorporate a meetings or incentives activity or built-in event theme.
Here are five themed attractions debuting next year that will surely wow groups that are looking for a thrill.
The GREAT Lego Race
LEGOLAND Florida Resort is all set to debut a first-of-its-kind virtual reality roller coaster, dubbed The GREAT Lego Race, this spring. Wearing a VR headset, attendees will race against LEGO minifigures—a pirate, wizard or surfer, to name a few—via LEGO-built vehicles such as a rocket-powered windsurfing rig.
Pixar Pier
At Disney California Adventure Park, the new Pixar Pier land opens this June, introducing new retail locations, games, entertainment and entire neighborhoods dedicated to bringing the popular animated films to life. For instance, “The Incredibles” neighborhood will debut the Incredicoaster, while an “Inside out” attraction is scheduled to open by year’s end.
Time Traveler
Opening this month, Silver Dollar City’s Time Traveler roller coaster is ahead of its time as the world’s fastest, steepest and tallest spinning coaster. But it also plays off the Branson, Mo., park’s historic traditions, taking attendees back to the 1880s with Charles Henry, a business owner who inherited a clock-making factory and plans to turn it into something much more.
Fast & Furious – Supercharged
Universal Orlando Resort’s new Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction also debuts this spring with 15 authentic cars, props from the movies and scenery that provides an ideal backdrop for themed events.
Star Wars – Galaxy’s Edge
The much-anticipated, 14-acre Star Wars – Galaxy’s Edge is also scheduled to debut next year as the largest “land” at, first, Disneyland Resort in California and, second, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Groups will get the Jedi treatment with two new attractions—one based on a secret mission aboard the Millennium Falcon and the other placing attendees in the middle of an all-out battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
