“Meeting planners will appreciate the convenience of the property’s entirely new entrance from Pacific Avenue.”
Tropicana Atlantic City just wrapped up another summer season after debuting $40 million in renovations in June. These enhancements came just one year after the property debuted a $50 million transformation to help it stay relevant in the evolving Atlantic City landscape.
The $40 million in renovations include a redesign of the 500 Havana Tower hotel rooms. Everything from new furnishings to woven wall coverings to creative carpeting and spa-inspired bath fixtures create a new take on the Cuban theme. The renovation also features a new high-limit slot area, Ivan Kane’s Kiss Kiss a Go-Go night club and five all-new Multimedia Light and Sound Shows. Meeting planners will appreciate the convenience of the property’s entirely new entrance from Pacific Avenue. Adjacent to the hotel lobby, the entrance includes a new Luxe Hair Salon, Trop Advantage Rewards Center and Corner Market.
The property’s Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar—serving up classic and contemporary Cuban tapas, entrees and cocktails—also added a new wood-burning Latin Grill and chef’s counter. The grill helps the chef come up with new flavors for the menu, while the chef’s counter allows 10 attendees to watch the chef prepare meats, seafood and veggies. The restaurant can also host events up to 400 attendees.
The latest enhancement complements the 2015 property-wide upgrade, which included renovations to the North Tower hotel rooms and casino, the construction of a new AtlantiCare LifeCenter Fitness, new retail spaces and a media facade on the Boardwalk—a perfect way to attract incoming groups.
