Rosen Hotels & Resorts

Prevue sat down with Leslie Menichini, VP of Sales & Marketing for Rosen Hotels & Resorts to talk innovation and what Rosen is doing to stay ahead of the curve in this regard. Here’s what she had to say.

How would you describe your destination’s overall take on innovation?

Menichini: We are a forward-thinking company run by a forward-thinking owner, Harris Rosen. Our owner is not afraid to put money into new ideas or technology as long as the end result is that our guests enjoy an enhanced experience. Most recently, we installed a multi-million dollar guest and meeting room RFID locking system to offer guests state-of-the-art security and peace of mind.

Have you noticed any new tech trends emerging for 2015? Anything in the works?

Because technology is ever-evolving, yet so crucial to the success of a meeting, we consider the technology needs of our meetings and groups many years out. We strive to stay current with the latest technology for this purpose and evaluate usage and if it would benefit our meetings and groups. For example, soon we’ll be unveiling the latest technology powered by FUSION, offering encapsulated guest authentication, powerful threat prevention and unprecedented speed as guests connect to the internet and select from one of our three guest internet products. And in December, we will be offering a new IPTV solution that will deliver a truly interactive guest experience. This cutting-edge technology enables guests to use their own devices to wirelessly cast content from hundreds of Google Chromecast-enabled apps from content providers and subscription-based services such as Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, WatchESPN and HBOGo as well as their own photos, music, and videos and any browser content from their PC via the Google Chrome™ browser to their guest room television.
