Hyatt Hotels CorporationPlanners voted, and Hyatt Hotels Corporation was given the accolade of Best Sustainable/Green Meetings Experience in our esteemed Visionary Awards.

When we think of green meetings, what we’re really asking ourselves is: What does it take to be sustainable? Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s answer to the question begins with a company culture that is purpose-driven, employs a “slow and steady growth” or community mindset, is inclusive to all and sensitive to the pressing human and environmental challenges our planet is facing. Hyatt has a history of conscientious choices—whether sustainable seafood collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund, working to combat illegal wildlife trading, horse rehabilitation, minimizing environmental footprints through Hyatt EcoTrack or sourcing produce locally; oftentimes, directly on-site.

Human rights are also front and center with Hyatt, and literacy, career development, programs for at-risk youth, female empowerment initiatives and combating human trafficking are all priorities. A robust giveback culture inspired 26,000 hours of community service by employees in 44 countries in 2017. And, Hyatt was the first to ban hate groups across its portfolio, sending a clear message of tolerance in inclusivity for all who stay and meet with them. All of these things contribute to a healthy and “green” meetings experience for planners and attendees.
