Until recently, groups have mainly had two location options when meeting in MiamiSouth Beach or Brickell—but the new Hyde Hotel & Residences Midtown Miami offers an excellent choice for those wanting to meet in the Midtown area.

As the first hotel within walking distance of Miami’s art and cultural areas—Wynwood and the Design District—Hyde offers groups a chance to conveniently explore this blossoming part of the city. The 32-story building is a combination of 410 luxury condominiums and 60 hotel rooms, featuring public spaces that reflect the vibrant, local art and design scene.

Case in point: The Rockwell Group incorporated custom fixtures and furniture as well as local and contemporary artwork into the design. The lobby, for instance, features a neutral palette with pops of color, matched by the more industrial concrete tile flooring, blackened metalwork, and mesh and steel displays created to showcase the artwork. A nod to the city’s Art Deco architecture, light-sensitive artwork suspends from the lobby’s exposed concrete ceiling, creating an even more unique, retro feel. And a massive brown leather sectional and white piano complete the look.

Groups will want to check out the property’s seventh-floor rooftop, which features an infinity pool, tennis courts, a putting green and a glass-walled events space. Another highlight? The game room with a retro PacMan for attendees to play well into the evening.

This property is one of the latest in lifestyle brand sbe’s growing global portfolio, which now includes 25 hotels and more than 170 global culinary, nightlife and entertainment venues as of the end of 2018.
