Previously a Victorian mansion, the 23-room Coombs Inn & Suites, provides a turn-of-the-century experience—complete with European antiques and original oil paintings—in the quaint fishing village of Apalachicola. Here, not far from the white-sand beaches of St. George Island, groups can partake in afternoon tea before hopping on complimentary bikes to explore nearby boutiques, museums, art galleries and waterfront cafes serving fresh seafood and Apalachicola oysters.
Water Street Hotel & Marina
Apalachicola’s newest hotel offers 30 suites in an Old Florida setting. Every guest room at the waterfront property has picturesque views of the Apalachicola National Estuarine Reserve and includes a full kitchen. In between meetings, groups can walk to the Raney House Museum, Battery Park and sample local specialties, or explore antebellum homes, light houses and the Apalachicola Historic District, featuring 250 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.
