Zip-lining will be one of the new summer adventures in Vail Valley’s Epic Discovery, by Vail Resorts, which will debut in the summer of 2016. Among them will be a guided canopy tour that will teach participants about the ecosystem of the mountain as they experience various zip-lines and aerial bridges, and an alpine coaster, the Forest Flyer, which will wind its way down the mountain. A new high-adrenaline activity that just kicked off this summer is tubing at Adventure Ridge. Just like the winter version, groups get the thrill of tubing down the mountain, except that it’s sunny and warm. Accommodations in Vail range from alpine lodges to convention hotels, and can host groups of up to 2,000. The Lodge at Vail debuted its latest renovation of 56 rooms last December.
With 300 sunny days a year, the mountain setting lends itself to outdoor team building, even in winter. Keystone Resort offers groups a variety of survival-themed team building challenges, where they get to simulate avalanche search and rescue using GPS and beacons, or build shelters in the wilderness. Not only are the activities fun, but they develop skills that attendees can take home with them.
