The Orient Jerusalem

Isrotel Hotels, a leader in the Israeli tourism industry, finally made its way to the country’s capital city of Jerusalem with the opening of the 243-room Orient Jerusalem.

Located about 20 minutes from the Old City in Western Jerusalem’s German Colony, The Orient Jerusalem is the latest addition to the hotel company’s Exclusive Collection brand. That means it features an abundance of Five Star, luxury amenities that combine the city’s old and new elements. Most of the hotel’s accommodations are located in the newly constructed central building, while others take up space in the preserved Templar Buildings, originally built in 1882 and 1883 by the Templars who once inhabited the site.

The design pays homage to the past with high-quality stone, wood, tile and glass mixed in with handcrafted furnishings made by local artisans. The interactive museum on site also allows attendees to get a glimpse of authentic artifacts from the Templars and features a storyboard and film that highlights the Templar way of life. Israeli art that was previously displayed at both the Tel Aviv and Israeli Museums is also on display throughout the property.

Groups can meet in the hotel’s conference hall (one of the largest at any Five Star hotel in Jerusalem). Afterwards, attendees can head to Khan restaurant where Executive Chef Eric Attias dishes out gourmet kosher cuisines such as eggplant kadaif and mezzes. In between meetings, a stop at the spa and wellness center could include a wide range of therapy treatments, including an authentic Turkish Hammam (or Turkish bath). Attendees also won’t want to miss the rooftop infinity pool overlooking the Old City below.
