Grand Oasis Cancun

Cancun, Mexico’s first resort casino, the 1,320-room Grand Oasis Cancun, just became more appealing for groups with the debut of its newly renovated and expanded Oasis Arena.

Meeting planners can choose from a wide range of event spaces in the 22,000-sf arena. Those include outdoor deck areas, a beach club stage and oceanfront poolside terraces. Smaller breakout rooms in the arena’s atrium area feature high-tech audiovisual and videoconferencing capabilities, while a 20-seat executive board room and additional event salons round out the venue’s offerings. Located adjacent to the arena, the Yucatan Salon offers groups a cinema-style venue, complete with a retractable screen that makes it a perfect spot to debut films or multimedia shows.

Even though the arena is the latest highlight for groups, the Oasis property’s casino experience creates Vegas-style excitement that’s unique to the Cancun area. Oasis Arena alone is hosting live concerts, festivals and shows, while the property’s Red Circus offers a dinner-theater show with acrobatic performances inspired by Mayan culture. Comedy skits performed by the pool and live DJ sets at the Beach Club also keep attendees entertained daily. Even the resort’s Kinky Night Club features live burlesque cabaret performances for groups looking to incorporate a more risqué experience. And lastly, the resort’s casino—Red Casino at Grand Oasis Cancun—gives attendees a chance to test their luck at traditional tables, with games such as Black Jack, Roulette and Poker.

Still looking to take it up a notch? Groups that want a more exclusive experience can stay at The Pyramid at Grand Oasis, which acts as a resort with a resort. Luxury accommodations mix with stellar restaurants such as Benazuza, featuring molecular gastronomy, while White Box Castrobar offers a delicious menu of tapas.
