St. Thomas Brewery

Comprised of 13th century buildings, Augustine, A Luxury Collection Hotel opened its doors last year in Prague. The 101-room hotel is centrally located in the heart of the city between Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge. Seven buildings make up the property, many having historic significance such as the Augustinian St. Thomas Monastery. The hotel’s bars set the stage for some pretty interesting gatherings. The Augustine Restaurant, housed in a glass-covered courtyard, brings to life some of the property’s history—like the St. Thomas Beer (and beer body ritual in the Augustine Spa), an aromatic dark lager crafted using the ancient recipe of Augustinian monks.

Likewise, beneath stunning 19th century frescoes at the Refectory Bar 1887, groups enjoy signature “Archangel” cocktails. The bar is housed in the monastery’s barrel-vaulted, double-height hall, infusing cocktails with more than just a few secret ingredients. The atmospheric St. Thomas Brewery Bar, featuring original 17th century stalactites and a floating terracotta floor, is a mood-setting space with countless possibilities. Formal meeting space options for up to 180 are also available.

The Augustine is within easy access to numerous cultural and arts attractions, including the palatial Wallenstein Gardens, Prague Castle, National Museum and Old Town Square.
