Amanda has more than 20 years of experience within the hospitality and nonprofit industries. She has consulted, presented, and written articles in the areas of marketing, corporate responsibility, healthy buildings and event planning. In addition, she served on several committees to help create the APEX/ASTM Environmentally Sustainable Meeting Standards and the ISO 20121 Event Sustainability Management System Standards.  Amanda also served as a judge for the IMEX-GMIC Green Awards for eight years.
She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Hotel/Restaurant-Institutional Management from Johnson & Wales University, a Master’s of Business Administration degree with a focus in Sustainability from Antioch University New England and a Masters of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School.  She is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
Roger is a member of IMEX’s Green Team, responsible for making sure that sustainability is considered in everything they do, and through green campaigns such as #greencaffeine and the refill movement.

For nearly 25 years, Rachael’s passion has been creating holistic and sustainable event experiences, motivating people to be the best versions of themselves while caring for the environment. As General Manager, Environmental Strategy and the subject matter expert on wellbeing design, Rachael is responsible for Maritz corporate sustainability carbon accounting, reporting and compliance. Additionally, Rachael co–created a carbon footprint measurement tool that measures the carbon footprint of an event. With this tool, Rachael works with clients to provides design insights to lessen the impact of an event. Rachael also works with clients to design event experiences that care for the whole person and so they can perform at their peak.
Rachael is the recipient of awards from the Events Industry Council and Professional Convention Management Association. She currently serves on the Events Industry Council (EIC) APEX Commission and the Sustainability and Social Impact Committee, Global Wellness Institutes’ Workplace Wellbeing Working Group and the Net Zero Carbon Events Standards of Measurement and the Travel/Accommodations Working Groups.
