The Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California has announced that it will break ground on a new ballroom this summer.
The new ballroom, Costa de la Luna, will add 30,000 sf of indoor and outdoor event space to the resort as well as a new event lawn.
The space will offer 14,000 sf of divisible ballroom space, plus a 4,000 sf pre-function area, two breakout rooms and a dedicated valet entrance. The new area will be located adjacent to the existing 18,000 square feet Costa Del Sol ballroom.
The decor of the Costa de la Luna ballroom, like the rest of the resort, will be inspired by the architecture of Spanish missions native to Southern California.
The resort offers 600 rooms, suites and villas as well as eight swimming pools – including an adults-only pool and waterslides. It also boasts two championship golf courses designed by PGA legends, 17 tennis courts and an award-winning spa.
