Situated in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, the four diamond Omni Berkshire Place is a landmark building constructed in 1926 by the architects Warren & Wetmore, who also designed the iconic Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Its 398 guest rooms offer the experience of Upper East Side residential living and are steeped in the creative history of this vibrant part of New York. In 1942, the composers Rodgers & Hammerstein stayed in Suite 2100 and worked together on the musical ‘Oklahoma!’ – the room still exists and has been renamed the Rodgers & Hammerstein Suite.

The hotel underwent a $70 million restoration in 1995 to return it to its historic glory, and has received numerous enhancements over the following decades, most recently in 2010 when design experts Champalimaud Design gave a fresh modern look to its guest rooms. Its location is perfect for business travelers, being only steps away from the offices of many Fortune 500 companies, as well as centrally located for shopping and sightseeing at Fifth Avenue, the Rockefeller Center, Central Park and Broadway Theaters.

The property offers 7,000 sf of flexible meeting space, which includes 11 meeting rooms – the largest of which has floor space of 1,245 sf and can accommodate 138-theater style or 100 for a banquet. A state of the art 1,000-sf fitness center is open daily and features a sun deck overlooking St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Dining options include the Fireside Restaurant and Lounge, which offers eclectic cuisine and innovative craft cocktails, plus 24-hour guest room dining.

A limited time deal is currently running for small groups who book a summer meeting at the hotel before April 30, 2015. Groups of more than 15 attendees can save 15 percent on meeting room rentals and selected AV items including LCD package, screen support, internet wireless, POLYCOM and phone line. Meetings must be booked by April 30, 2015 and consumed between June 26 and September 7, 2015.
