The 320-room Sheraton Bay Point Resort in Panama City Beach, Fla., will open on Nov. 8 after undergoing a $30 million renovation. Not only will it include new meeting and event spaces, but it will offer groups a slew of teambuilding options to help attendees venture out of the meeting room and explore the Gulf Coast. Here are 5 packages and activities for groups.

1. A Day in Paradise

Attendees can board a catamaran and take a 30-minute boat ride to Shell Island from the resort’s very own dock. Snorkeling with dolphins, paddle boarding and even a water trampoline await.

2. Helicopter Tours

Don’t have time to take a boat to Shell Island? Groups can also opt to take a helicopter tour of the island and the surrounding Gulf of Mexico.

3. It’s a Boil Party

The hotel can work with meeting planners to organize an outdoor seafood boil (usually shrimp or crawfish), complete with live interactive entertainment and personalized cooking demonstrations. Micro beer pairing with beers from local breweries help round out the experience along the shores of St. Andrews Bay, located on the property.

4. Sheraton Beach Survivor

Attendees will test their skills in interactive challenges such as kayak racing, beach obstacles, paddle board competitions and bike races. Winners get to take home a customized Yolo board.

5. Deep Sea & Boardwalk Fishing

Groups can venture out on the water to go deep-sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, or they can opt to stay at the property and fish from the boardwalk.
