Hiking in the jungle, yoga on the beach and cycling through wine country are just a few activities available for wellness-focused groups.

Here are four wellness excursions for groups looking to get outside and be a bit more active this spring.

Hiking in the Guatemalan Jungle

Located on a 300-acre private reserve in the middle of the Peten jungle in Guatemala, Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel provides a health and wellness oasis for smaller groups. The 19-bungalow property offers everything from hiking the historic Tikal, Uaxactun and Yaxha ruins to kayaking the Quexil Lagoon to fishing for the local “blanco” fish. Attendees will especially enjoy the spider monkeys climbing around the property.

Target Practice & Golf in the South

Barnsley Resort, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains about an hour north of Atlanta, combines adventure and Southern Hospitality. The 3,300-acre resort offers more traditional activities for groups that include golf, shooting clays and horseback riding in addition to miles of trails for hiking.

Yoga & Healthy Cooking in Aruba

Through Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino’s new Wellness Retreat Package, groups can enjoy a private yoga class on the beach, learn about local cooking in a one-on-one class with the executive chef and even unwind with a treatment at Mandara Spa. Attendees won’t want to miss the extra-relaxing Happy Zone Hammock Garden.

Cycling Through Tuscany

Il Salviatino in Florence, Italy partners with local company Firenze Yes Please to take attendees on a cycling tour of the Tuscan countryside. The tour will take attendees past olive fields and vineyards to Castle di Nipozzano where they will enjoy a private visit of the castle. A lunch made from seasonal ingredients will also be included in the excursion.
