Meliá Hotels International grew its portfolio to a total of 45 hotel properties (existing and upcoming) in the Asia Pacific region.

While all 45 of these properties are worth meeting-planner consideration, these five Meliá properties debuting in the next few years particularly stand out.

Meliá Xueye Lake, China

Few settings rival magnificent Xueye Lake, a massive water reserve that’s become a popular destination for locals and travelers alike. Meliá’s planned resort on the lake promises to take excellent advantage of this coveted locale. Planners will have access to dedicated meeting spaces as well as villas ideal for executive stays and small meetings.

Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat, Vietnam

Like Meliá Xueye Lake, this resort boasts an enviable backdrop: the tropical forests of lush Ba Vi National Park. A collection of 12 bungalows and three villas will be ideally suited to small meetings, and execs will surely enjoy the resort’s focus on wellness, with features including a luxe spa and outdoor pool. Planners don’t have to wait long to book; the property is opening in 2018.

Meliá Chiang Mai, Thailand

It’s no surprise that, in 2019, Meliá will make its debut in Chiang Mai—it’s Thailand’s second-largest city and a cultural hotspot that tourists love. This ideally situated hotel will be able to accommodate up to 900 meeting attendees who, when they’re not enjoying the city’s acclaimed cuisine, can dine at the resort’s first-rate, culturally diverse restaurants.

INNSIDE Bangkok Sukhumvit, Thailand

When this outpost of Meliá’s sleek, cosmopolitan INNSIDE brand opens its doors in 2021, it will offer access to everything Thailand’s largest city has to offer. Meeting-goers can also take advantage of the hotel’s cutting-edge tech services and—when business is done—enjoy a dip in the property’s upper-terrace pool. Plus, Bangkok’s main airport is only 30 minutes away, making access easy for groups.

Meliá Bukit Tinggi, Malaysia

Following the success of its four existing hotels in Malaysia, Meliá will open a hotel in charming Bukit Tinggi in 2022. Surrounded by stunning natural landscapes—and featuring an orchid conservatory, manicured gardens and dedicated meeting space—the property will be perfect for retreats. At nearby Genting 20th Century Fox World Theme Park and the Lentang Forest Reserve, team building options are endless.
