HALCYON

The 154-room HALCYON hotel, located in Denver’s Cherry Creek area, welcomes groups with its sleek, contemporary look—and its emphasis on charity.

Bookshelves line the hotel’s lobby lounge fireplace, giving the public space an intimate, homey feel dotted with modern furnishings. Add to that a new, festive Give and Give Back for the Holidays meetings package that combines culture and caring. Groups looking to give back this season can book a meeting at the hotel, and 5 percent of that meeting’s total catering value will be donated to a charity of the group’s choice. Other perks from the package include a complimentary night stay certificate as a giveaway item, 10 percent value toward in-house audiovisual, $10 valet parking per car as well as customized floral packages, a waived bartender fee and complimentary dance floor.

Groups can meet in the property’s 6,500 sf of meeting, event and banquet space, which includes a main ballroom with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and an executive board room equipped with high-tech presentation tools. The property also encourages attendees to partake in popular Colorado activities such as biking or jogging along the 42-mile Cherry Creek Trail in the hotel’s backyard. Nearby Washington Park also features multi-use trails, horseshoe pits and lawn bowling as well as paddleboat rentals to take out on Smith Lake. The hotel’s onsite Gear Garage even offers complimentary gear for attendee activities; that includes everything from scooters to cruiser bikes to longboards.

“We draw inspiration from our Cherry Creek neighborhood when it comes to activations, meetings and events,” says Katie Alger, the catering manager at the hotel. “Our success has been partnering with a variety of local businesses to engage and educate our guests on their professional passion—whether it’s becoming a florist for the day, tapping into your inner creativity by painting a masterpiece on our roof top or breaking away from your meeting and having your boss say, ‘It’s time for recess!’ as you explore our Gear Garage.”
