The newly transformed Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort, formerly known as the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch, has opened as Arizona’s first Grand Hyatt property following a $115 million renovation.

With enhanced meeting and event facilities, the resort offers planners expanded, sophisticated spaces that capture the authentic spirit of the Southwest, positioning it as a premier destination for events in the region.

Grand Gathering Spaces with Enhanced Capacity

Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort now offers an impressive 90,000 sf of indoor and outdoor function space. The newly expanded Arizona Ballroom, set to open in January 2025, will nearly triple in size to 24,000 sf, positioning the resort as a premier venue for large conferences, galas and corporate events. Complementing the Arizona Ballroom, there’s the 14,000-sf Vaquero Ballroom and 52,000 sf of existing indoor and outdoor event space have also been fully revitalized.

Meeting and event spaces include 48 flexible meeting rooms with high-speed internet, cutting-edge AV support, nd ample pre-function areas that add 10,000 sf of space for networking and socializing. The property’s 35,000 sf of outdoor function space further allows planners to craft events with the Sonoran Desert landscape as a backdrop.

Refined Accommodations and Exclusive Casitas

The resort offers 496 redesigned accommodations, including residential-style casitas, the luxurious Gainey House and a selection of rooms with private patios or balconies. Each room features a spa-inspired bathroom and multi-purpose living space, while casitas provide separate entertaining areas and kitchenettes.

Celebrity chef Richard Blais brings his acclaimed culinary vision to six new dining experiences at the resort. These include La Zozzona, a modern Italian chophouse, and Mesa Centrale, a Southwestern grill, among others. Two poolside venues, Sandbar and H2Oasis, further enhance the culinary landscape, offering group-friendly dining options in vibrant settings ideal for gathering and celebration.

Revitalized Pool Complex and Spa Avania Wellness

The resort’s 2.5-acre pool area, with 10 unique pools, a sand beach, a 3-story waterslide and a beachside putting green, presents options for both relaxation and recreation. Spa Avania’s recent refresh invites guests to experience a wellness journey aligned with natural daily rhythms, featuring treatments like Cryo Sculpt Facials and CBD Trigger Point Therapy. The spa’s 19 treatment rooms, salt room, and fitness facilities offer a relaxing retreat for groups seeking wellness-focused programming.

Engaging Outdoor Activities and Recreation

For groups that enjoy outdoor adventures, Grand Hyatt Scottsdale provides winding jogging paths, scenic bicycle trails, and complimentary bikes to explore the surroundings. Adjacent to the resort, Gainey Ranch Golf Club offers 27 holes of championship golf, while two lighted tennis courts and eight pickleball courts cater to enthusiasts of both classic and trending sports.
