RoomCast Powered by Comcast

Aloft New Orleans Downtown will take guest-room media to a whole new level by offering attendees the opportunity to stream their favorite content from their smart devices directly to their in-room televisions.

The New Orleans property was selected to launch RoomCast Powered by Chromecast, a technology that gives each guest room a wireless personal area network with a specific password and integrated Chromecast media streaming device. Attendees will enter their room and be able to join their personal, secure network, which will then prompt them with a Cast Button. This will allow them to join the network and watch their favorite content on the in-room TV. It doesn’t require downloaded software and allows attendees to control streaming from applications already downloaded on their device.

This new technology adds to the property’s list of trendy and tech-driven amenities. The hotel already offers SPG Keyless, which allows attendees to unlock their guest-room door using the SPG app. The property’s Tactic meeting spaces are also equipped with A/V, a plasma TV and free Wi-Fi.

To stay relevant in the local music scene, the hotel’s W XYZ bar features live performances for attendees looking to unwind after a long day of meetings. Its Zagster Bike Share Program allows attendees to get off property, with 10 bikes available for rental. And last but not least, pet-loving attendees will appreciate the hotel’s Arf Pet Program, which accommodates pets up to 40 pounds and gives them an Aloft-branded bed and bowl in addition to treats and toys.
