Prevue asked David Manzella, VP of Group Sales & Marketing for Fiesta Americana Grand Meetings Mexico, for his thoughts about cultural and creative programs and events.

Q: How do the various hotels and destinations incorporate Mexican culture into group events?

A: From the moment you arrive, you’re immersed in Mexican culture at our Grand Meetings Mexico Resorts. Part of that includes a passion to provide exceptional hospitality to groups at: Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun All-Inclusive, Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta, Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Cancun Resort & Spa, Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos Golf & Spa and Live Aqua Cancun All-Inclusive.

Our resorts, at their very essence, celebrate dynamic Mexican culture each and every day, ranging from the Mayan Celebrations in Cancun to the artistic city experience in Puerto Vallarta. Another great example is the Barefoot Experience in Los Cabos. The teambuilding dinner takes place on the beach, incorporating authentic Mexican cuisine, wine tastings, local entertainment and massage treatments right on the sand.

Q: What are some unique cultural venues in the various destinations that host group events?

A: At Fiesta Americana Hotels & Resorts, celebrating our heritage and culture is a priority with every guest and every group that comes through our doors. Some examples are the Mayan Beach Celebration at Fiesta American Condesa Cancun All-Inclusive, the Isla Mujeres Beach Club offered at Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Cancun Resort & Spa, the Barefoot Beach Experience at Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos Golf & Spa, and the Traditional Mexican Fiesta at Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta.

Beyond the resorts, each unique destination has its own hidden cultural jewels, such as the Mayan ruins near Cancun, the incredible fishing and boating in Los Cabos, and the attractions along the new Puerto Vallarta Malecon. The array of distinct venues is endless.

Q: What are some unique venues in the various destinations and hotels that celebrate creativity and innovation?

A: Cancun is a true gem at the southern tip of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. It combines authentic Latin flavor with ecological reserves, powder-white beaches and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Plus, it’s the perfect base for exploring famed archaeological sites like Tulum and Chichen Itza.

Puerto Vallarta is nestled beneath the Sierra Madre Mountains in a charming little corner of heaven. Once a sleepy fishing village, it has retained the true flavor of Mexico and the warm hospitality of its people, and it’s famous for the idyllic beaches, colonial architecture and cobbled streets.

Los Cabos, situated at the tip of the Baja California Peninsula, is a natural paradise of golden beaches surrounded by desert and the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains. This popular spot has direct flights from over 20 U.S. cities and offers tons of tourist attractions suitable for groups. These include 10,000-year-old cave paintings and Spanish missions dating back to 1697, along with ample golf and fishing.

By encompassing these natural elements into any program, attendees walk away with a new perspective on this beautiful country.
