How did the data-driven Tableau Conference grow its attendee base from 200 to 8,000 attendees in less than eight years? Having an in-demand product and a great events team were essential, says Tableau’s Chief Marketing Officer Elissa Fink, but she adds that there’s more to the story of the meeting’s success.
Branding each conference with unique “Tableau touches” has been a key factor in building the annual event’s popularity, Fink explains. The meeting’s iconic “Devs on Stage” session, for example, features several of the company’s developers on stage discussing and demonstrating new features and capabilities they are working on—all to oohs and ahhs from the audience.
