Apple CEO Tim Cook officially unveiled three new iPhones—the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X (pronounced “iPhone 10”)—on Tuesday at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, Calif.

The key differences between all three are that the iPhone 8 has a 4.7-inch screen, while the iPhone 8 Plus has a larger 5.5-inch screen. The iPhone X, on the other hand, is created to celebrate the iPhone’s 10th anniversary with a full-screen display and other major redesign features. As most Apple-device users know, syncing apps across all devices can make the meeting planner’s job easy as they move from event site to event site, but that’s only the beginning of what these new iPhones can offer. Here are just a few of the new tech advantages meeting planners should consider when determining which iPhone to buy next.

Wireless Charging

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will have wireless charging capabilities. Planners can simply place their phone on a Qi charging pad to take a charge. While this feature is nice for planners who don’t like wires, the real highlight is the charging speed. Planners will be able to get a 50 percent charge in just 30 minutes, which can really help at events when constant phone usage leads to losing battery life quickly.

High-Quality Video Capture

For those looking to take quick and easy videos at events, the latest iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will offer better video stabilization and 4K video up to 60fps. The camera even has capabilities for motion tracking and the augmented reality experience.

Facial Recognition Software

Meeting planners will unlock their iPhone X using facial recognition software, in lieu of the fingerprint software on older versions of the iPhone. This lends itself to questions about how event planners could possibly use facial recognition software for attendee entry into an event.
