Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration, taking place through Summer 2016, features a glittering new nighttime parade, a new fireworks spectacular and all-new “World of Color” show.

For six decades, the Disneyland Resort in Southern California has explored the frontiers of immersive storytelling, bringing exciting attractions and innovative entertainment to life.

Now, during the resort’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration, taking place through Summer 2016, a glittering new nighttime parade, a new fireworks spectacular and all-new “World of Color” show have raised the bar, once again. For meeting, convention and private groups, the excitement surrounding these new offerings makes the entire destination even more appealing.

Three world-class hotels, including the classic Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, offer more than 180,000-square-feet of flexible meeting, convention and event space—all conveniently located within walking distance of the Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District.

The Society of Experimental Test Pilots, a southern California-based association, held it’s annual symposium at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel this past fall. Paula Smith, Executive Director, felt that the new offerings for the Diamond Celebration were a real bonus for her attendees.

“Our members really enjoy it—especially the new electrical parade, Paint the Night,” Smith said. “It’s spectacular, and it’s a huge draw for my members, many of whom remember the old [Main Street Electrical] parade. Seeing it made me feel like a kid again,” she added.

In addition, planners will also discover other exclusive event venues, such as Stage 17. This unique space can accommodate a seated buffet dinner for up to 300 or a reception for up to 450. Built-in technology, including two 9×12’ high-definition screens and projectors, programmable lights and a state-of-the-art audio system, means the space can be cost-efficiently transformed into nearly any theme or immersive experience imaginable.

According to planner Paula Smith, hosting an event at Disneyland Resort during the 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration is extra special.

“There are so many things for [our members] to do,” Smith said. “The Grand Californian Hotel – we love everything about it. The meeting facilities are really top-notch. You can conduct a professional business meeting there and not even realize that you are at Disney. But when you want it, the Disney fun is just outside.”
