The 343-room Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach opened earlier this year, offering groups a wide range of activities and meeting spaces that incorporate its idyllic Floridian backdrop.
Located on the Gulf of Mexico, the property draws groups with its more than 22,000 sf of meeting and function space. Its Dunes Ballroom, the largest in Pinellas County at 10,632 sf, is just one example. Its Pelican Room, albeit smaller at 1,464 sf, provides another option touting views of the beaches below. And then those beaches offer even more opportunities for groups.
The property works with Florida Destinations & Incentives, a full-service destination management company, to create team building experiences that take advantage of the destination. Together, they can even coordinate customized activities based on a group’s preferences. Here are the recent activities that the hotel has already organized this year:
Food Truck Cook-off Competition
Attendees can combine the food truck and cook-off competition trends into one energetic, hands-on activity that allows them to test their cooking skills together.
Build a Boat
Groups of attendees can work together to build a boat and then test it out in the resort’s pool—the one true test being whether or not it floats.
Scavenger Hunt
Attendees will be directed to various spots throughout the property in this scavenger hunt that tests communication, efficiency and knowledge among individual teams.
