A $13 million renovation over the next few months will refresh all the touchpoints of the visitor experience at Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. A complete renovation and redesign of the buffet restaurant buffet and revamp of the workout facility, including all-new cardio equipment will follow a $1 million makeover of the Spa Toccare earlier this year. Most noticeable to guests will be the redesign of the lobby next year, which will include the front desk, artwork and ceiling. The goal of all these renovations is to create an inviting, approachable elegance. The casino will also be refreshed with new carpeting, wall treatments, and lighting, to lend it a more Italian feeling, in keeping with the resort theme.
Planners can build group experiences around Borgata’s star-studded culinary lineup, which includes Wolfgang Puck (Wolfgang Puck American Grille), Bobby Flay (Bobby Flay Steak), Geoffrey Zakarian (The Water Club at Borgata), Michael Schulson (Izakaya Modern Japanese Pub), Stephen Kalt (Fornelletto Cucina & Wine Bar) and Greg and Marc Sherry (Old Homestead Steak House). The recent Savor Borgata weekend included an evening of kitchen demonstrations by Wolfgang Puck and Bobby Flay, along with live music, festival entertainers and games.
Wellness activities are popular for groups, including exclusive yoga and Zumba classes. A minimum of 10 guests (20 maximum) can enjoy personal instruction on property from an associate from Borgata’s Spa team.
Borgata has 24 different meeting and event venues to accommodate 10 to 3,500 people, including a 26,000-sf ballroom.
