Prevue’s upcoming Visionary Summit August 11 and 12 in Chicago will feature some of the top thinkers in the industry around the area of meeting strategy. Heading up the agenda is Dianne Devitt, who will introduce SenseUp training as it pertains to meetings, and then set attendees loose to storyboard their own event with the five senses in mind. Devitt is a producer, educator and speaker, known for her unique style blending creativity and vision. A best-selling author of What Color is Your Event?

Also on the agenda is well-known industry lawyer Jed Mandel, who will share several contractual scenarios that even experienced planners might not have considered—and advice on how to handle them.

Mark Benson, president of Applied Meeting & Hospitality Solutions, has spent years in hotel sales and marketing in executive roles with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Grupo Posadas and Atlantis, Paradise Island, and collaborated with meeting professionals on countless programs. He will share his process for taking budgetary metrics and cost analysis forecasting to the next level, alerting planners to contingencies they might not have considered.

Another highlight of the day will be a meeting planner panel focused on the delicate balancing act of managing both internal teams and external suppliers/partners. Panelists will include Cecile Mutch, GLP. GTP, is senior director, corporate services, Kellogg, and Janet Elkins, president, EventWorks.
