Delta Airlines and global airline alliance SkyTeam have created new online service that will save time and money for meeting planners and their attendees. The online feature helps meeting attendees book and confirm their group rate travel on any one of the 19 member airlines within the SkyTeam portfolio. To begin, visit SkyTeam.com and register your event. After that, planners can register from two months to five years in advance.
“International event organizers can choose SkyTeam with confidence knowing delegates can arrange their meetings from 1,000 worldwide destinations in a few simple clicks via our new online booking tool,” says Mauro Oretti, vp of sales for SkyTeam. “The enhanced global meetings product is SkyTeam’s cost-effective solution for the competitive MICE sector, which combined with our presence in key markets such as North America, Greater China and Europe meets the demands of today’s meetings industry.”
When booking through SkyTeam and Delta, flights will be discounted up to 15% off the applicable fares of SkyTeam’s 19 member airline’s 15,400 daily flights. The Productivity Reward Program offers planners one free ticket on any SkyTeam member airline for every 50 attendees that book through the SkyTeam event product. Meeting attendees will also earn miles through airline loyalty programs associated with the booked airline. 3. Select their origin, travel dates and member airline
