Moxy Phoenix Tempe

Moxy Phoenix Tempe was the first of Marriott’s Moxy lifestyle brand to open in the U.S. two years ago, and ever since, it has catered to groups in search of more than just a place to sleep and meet.

The 186-room property combines comfy spaces with creative programming and high-tech offerings that make it ideal for multigenerational meetings and events. Here are five unexpected group experiences that the Moxy Phoenix Tempe has to attract millennials and their progressive counterparts.

NOW Public Space

The NOW public space provides a living room hangout for attendees in search of fast Wi-Fi or simply a place to relax and socialize. Game tables from Pac-Man to pinball and board games provide entertainment, while classic vinyl are also available to rent.

Check-in that Doubles as a Bar

The hotel’s check-in counter also doubles as a bar, serving up cocktails, grab-and-go-bites and handcrafted coffee. Of course, attendees can avoid check-in altogether with keyless entry via the Marriott Mobile App. Other high-tech amenities include airport transportation using free Uber Central service as well as Netflix-ready TVs in the guest rooms.

Creative Meeting Arrangements

The hotel features 4,500 sf of flexible meeting space, where meeting planners and their attendees can get creative with moveable furniture such as beanbags or couches as well as chalkboard walls in lieu of the traditional white board.

Equipment for Play

Attendees can get their creative juices flowing by picking up one of the hotel’s on-hand guitars and playing some jams during meeting breaks. Or venture off-site using one of the complimentary bike cruisers to go for a ride and clear the mind.

Spring & Summer Programs

The property’s soon-to-launch list of spring and summer programming includes blacklight bingo and karaoke available for attendees to continue the networking after the meeting ends.
