At last – the music, the clothes, the stories, and everything else associated with the musical sensation ABBA, gathered in their own museum. This is a place where you walk in and dance out! ABBA The Museum opened May 7 on Djurgården.

Music-loving museum-goers will be taken on a trip that starts with ABBA’s breakthrough in the Sixties and keeps on rocking through all the places and arenas where the history of ABBA was written. Everything from the unforgettable 1974 Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton (Waterloo!) to Björn and Agnetha’s kitchen and the legendary Polar Studio. You’ll also have a chance to perform with ABBA in a high-tech hologram show.

All members of ABBA were personally involved in the project, especially Björn Ulvaeus, who was one of the people who made the museum happen. For instance, there is a player piano on display with a direct connection to the piano in Benny Andersson’s studio. Agnetha, Benny, Björn, and Frida also relate their fondest ABBA memories in the museum’s audio guide. Ingmarie Halling, ABBA’s former stylist, is the curator of the exhibition.  Make sure to include ABBA The Museum when in Stockholm, it’s the perfect incentive activity where you simply walk in and dance out!
