Located at Wilshire Blvd and Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica, the 302-room Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows recently debuted 24 newly transformed, home-style suites created by celeb designer Lynda Murray. The three suite options range from 500- 885 sf and all include fiber optic cable connections—20x faster than normal WiFi. The redesign’s new residential style pays homage to the region, since the hotel is the former home of Santa Monica founder John P. Jones.
L.A. native Murray used the natural surroundings of Santa Monica and Malibu as an inspiration for the redesign. The suites cater to frequent travelers who desire a homey, high-end touch to their hotel stay.
There are four 500-sf Ocean Tower Suites on property where guests can view the Santa Monica Pier or the Pacific Ocean from their oceanfront balcony.
The 12 Palisades Suites are 600 sf with high ceilings and large, spacious bathrooms. Located throughout the six-story historical Palisades Wing that was built in 1928, the room features a large parlor area with a garden view and enough lodging space for four guests.
There are four Palisades Grand Suites start at 885 sf with luxurious marble bathrooms and partial ocean views, situated within the 84 year-old Palisades building.
Each suite embodies the elegant style of California with contemporary art pieces that pay respect to the urban city of Los Angeles and the leisure of Santa Monica. Some of the art includes still photos inspired by The Doors song “L.A. Woman.”
All suites include hickory hardwood floors, a driftwood and moss sculpture and furniture made of reclaimed wood mixed with modern pieces of metal and glass. All also include a desk that transforms into a dining table, a retro espresso coffee maker and a wet bar that includes classic 1920’s inspired cocktail recipes.
The Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Pier. The hotel includes an award-winning fitness center, spa, pet services, amenities for children and the popular FIG seasonal bistro. Total meeting space is 25,000 sf.
