Roundtable introductions

9:30-9:45 a.m.  The Way to Attendee Engagement is Through Their Stomachs
Wellness expert Hallie Sculler will explore how meals (breakfast and breaks) and first impressions (room decoration, aromatherapy, arrival items, etc.) can drive attendee engagement.

9:45-10:15 a.m.   Wellness in Meetings Today: Standards for Wellness & Creating Guidelines
IRF President Melissa Van Dyke will share the results of the industry’s first research into wellness practices. Attendees will benchmark their own organizations and learn the basic and advanced wellness techniques being used in meetings today.

10:15-10:30 a.m.   Wellness-themed Break

10:30-11 a.m.   Re-energize Without Caffeine
Hallie Sculler will incorporate smell, touch, movement and breath techniques to engage attendees without caffeine, including the use of the Cando massage ball to reenergize participants while standing or sitting.

11 a.m.-Noon   SenseUp: The Senses and a Well-Planned Meeting
Dianne Devitt of DND Group will share her research on the important role the senses play in creating engagement and how to set the stage for wellness.

Noon-1:15 p.m.   Interactive Lunch Discussions

1:15-2 p.m.   Wellness in Meetings Today: Advanced and Leading-Edge Practices
Attendees will benchmark their organizations against those responding to IRF’s wellness survey, and learn basic and advanced wellness techniques being used in meetings today.

2-2:20 p.m.   “Breathe & Reboot” 
Hallie Sculler will introduce topics/activities using what comes naturally to us-—our breath—for focus, calm and de-stressing. Yoga-inspired moves will help with circulation and bring greater focus.

2:20-3 p.m.   Speed Storming – Collaboration
With more than 15 years of experience on average, attendees have a lot to learn from each other. This time has been set aside for attendees to explore 4 key questions in Wellness:

  1. What are biggest obstacles to your incorporation of wellness in meetings?
  2. What are the biggest opportunities/supporting facets of the organization for making meetings well?
  3. What was your biggest takeaway today?
  4. Which techniques will you implement at your meetings in the next 6 months, year, 5 years?

3 p.m.   Closing

6 p.m.   MGM Dinearound: A moveable feast, as attendees experience each course at a different MGM restaurant
