Puerto Rico will soon enough jump on the all-inclusive bandwagon when AMResorts opens the first all-inclusive property on the island.

The 250-room Dreams Puerto Rico Resort & Spa is scheduled to open in the southwestern coastal town of Guanica in October 2018. As Puerto Rico’s first true, all-inclusive resort, it will offer groups everything from limitless a la carte dining to complimentary mini-bars refreshed daily to comprehensive day and night-time activities—none of which require wristbands. The property will also include a 24-hour concierge service, Dreams Spa by Pavonia and even an Explorer’s Kids Club and Core Zone for teens—ideal for attendees bringing families.

“AMResorts’ entry into Puerto Rico is a testament to the demand for the all-inclusive model,” says Javier Coll, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Apple Leisure Group, of which AMResorts is a subsidiary. “Our experience in entering, establishing and growing our brands in new destinations strengthens our position as the go-to partner for hotel owners wanting to diversify their investments within the hospitality sector.”

The new resort will be located nearby the Guanica State Forest, a subtropical dry forest that was dedicated as a United Nations Biosphere Reserve in 1981. The island’s southwestern region is known for swimming, surfing, snorkeling and diving due to its noteworthy crystal-clear waters.
