They’re best known for weddings and romantic getaways, but you’ll find more than honeymoons happening at the 15 couples-only Luxury Included® retreats of Sandals Resorts. Meeting and incentive planners can find their hearts’ desire at Sandals and at the three family-friendly locations of its sister company, Beaches Resorts.

The newest attraction is Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort & Spa, a 225-room stunner in the nation known as “the spice island” for its ever-present fragrance of nutmeg and other spices. The resort opened in December 2013 after a major renovation, and now beckons with the Sandals signature: luxurious accommodations and amenities in a breathtaking natural setting.

With a total 980 sf of meeting space, LaSource is made for small to medium-size gatherings such as executive retreats, team building and strategic planning. It’s an inspiring reward for incentive groups, with amenities that exceed even Sandals’ renowned features and one of the Caribbean’s loveliest locales. The resort has no fewer than 10 restaurants—including Sandals’ first steakhouse, Butch’s Chophouse—and five swimming pools.

“I think it’s an absolutely fantastic hotel,” says Senior Vice President of Sales Gary Sadler. “Grenada is probably one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean, and I speak as a Jamaican.”

The resort is organized like many other Sandals and Beaches properties; its rooms and suites are built in three villages, each offering its own distinct style. LaSource has three: Pink Gin Village, South Seas Village and Italian Village, the last of which has outdoor plunge pools on its seventh floor in Sandals’ signature SkyPool Suites. “That in itself is an absolute wow,” Sadler says.

And while the details of style may differ, the all-inclusive standard remains inviolate.

That includes meeting rooms, A/V equipment, pre- and post-event receptions, even specialty dining and watersports.

Always All-Inclusive

Sandals has been hosting meetings and incentives this way for more than two decades, Sadler says. The resorts have evolved from simply making space available to creating purpose-built facilities: from small meeting rooms and mid-size boardrooms, to vast conference centers such as the 4,800-sf William Jefferson Clinton Ballroom at Sandals Grande St. Lucian. Indoor facilities come “loaded with technology,” he says, while outdoor pavilions also offer the natural backdrops of beach, ocean and lush tropical surroundings.

“We offer the meetings and incentives market a luxury, immersive Caribbean island experience—an intimate experience designed to inspire and reward,” he says. “And it’s all included. This allows attendees to experience the resort and the destination to its fullest without reaching into their pocket at every turn.”

It’s been a successful approach, says Sadler. “We’re seeing more and more groups coming to us, because from the beginning, we have always been all-inclusive—and a true all-inclusive.”

It makes the resorts’ newest slogan all the more fitting: “The closer you look, the better we look.”
