Looking for an exciting escapade for your group next time you’re in Ottawa? Quark Expeditions, the leader in polar adventures, is adding two Greenland Explorer expeditions to its 2013 line up, boosting an already impressive portfolio of unique exploits that are tailor-made for groups.
Setting out from Ottawa, guests will fly via chartered jet to Greenland, where they will board the 112-pax Sea Spirit, the company’s all-suite luxury ship. Once aboard, passengers will embark on a 14-day journey that offers adventurers the chance to hike across some of the world’s largest and fastest-moving glaciers, cruise through ice fjords on Zodiac inflatable ships or kayaks, and visit abandoned Thule villages.
In addition to the Sea Spirit’s 54 generously sized suites—the largest of which is 550 sf— the amenities on this ship include a gym, lounge, and library. A convertible lounge and a multi-purpose presentation room with state-of-the-art equipment are available for groups. Sea Spirit is also available for buyouts.
Quark Expeditions has led the way in polar travel with a fleet of seven ice-classed vessels and a selection of more than 20 unique adventures that includes twice-annual voyages to the North Pole in a nuclear-powered icebreaker, cross-country skiing in Antarctica and sea-kayaking in the Arctic.
