Situated just south of historic St. Augustine on a stretch of unspoiled Atlantic coastline, the AAA Four Diamond Hammock Beach Resort offers over 300 accommodations, including a 12-story oceanfront tower of luxury suites.

The resort recently announced plans for an extensive renovation of the property that is scheduled to be completed by September 2016. Enhancements include a refreshed lobby area and a new bar. Decor will also be upgraded on 75 one-bedroom suites, and all indoor meeting space will receive new carpet, wall coverings and lighting.

Additionally, the popular Hammock House halfway stop on the Ocean Golf Course will be expanded with more outdoor seating facing the ocean, as well as more indoor seating and a new bar. The resort will remain open during these renovations.

The resort is most famous for its two professional golf courses. The Ocean Course, designed by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus, features six holes directly on the Atlantic Ocean shore; the Conservatory Course is the longest in Florida, designed by golf champion Tom Watson. Other attractions at the resort include a 91,000-sf water pavilion, featuring a multi-level pool area and lazy river, twisting water slide, poolside bar and more.

With 80,000 sf of flexible indoor and oceanfront function space, the resort can accommodate groups of all sizes, providing a range of unique team building activities. Options include a Boat Regatta, where teams test their creative problem-solving skills by competing to build a seaworthy boat from basic supplies, or CSI: Hammock Beach, where groups look for clues, interview witnesses and chase suspects to solve a staged crime.
