October brought the launch of The Westin Chattanooga, located within walking distance of the Chattanooga Convention Center. The 260-room property spans 10 stories, which means attendees can enjoy scenic views of downtown and Lookout Mountain from their rooms as well as from Alchemy restaurant. While it currently offers 29,000 sf of indoor and outdoor space, the hotel is the centerpiece of the larger $88 million “West End” development project that will include Shula’s Steak House, cobblestone streets for pedestrians, and festival and event space.

The Read House

This winter, The Read House is undergoing a $20 million renovation, upgrading its 242 guest rooms with new technology as well as giving the lobby, ballroom and restaurant a complete makeover that brings some of the historic property’s traditional touches back to life.

The Edwin

Set to debut this spring, the 90-room Edwin hotel is a luxury boutique property that will bring modern-day trends and cuisines to Chattanooga’s downtown core. Whitebird restaurant pays homage to the Applachian region with flavorful dishes that represent native ingredients grown in this part of the south. About 1,650 sf of art-filled meeting space and a rooftop bar round out the group experience.

Moxy Hotel

Marriott International’s new millennial-focused Moxy Hotels brand is setting up shop in Chattanooga’s Southside District later this spring. A comfier, social atmosphere makes this 102-room standout to a younger crowd in search of vibrant communal spaces.

Tru by Hilton

Similarly, the new Tru by Hilton brand will open a 114-room property this fall in an effort to attract those young-at-heart attendees. It will feature the brand’s innovative four-zone, Hive lobby space for lounging, working, eating and playing.
