Wine enthusiasts rejoice!
Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in cooperation with Wine Spectator magazine announced the global launch of Sheraton Social Hour offering its guest a specially curated menu of premier wines and weekly testing events at more than 240 participating hotels around the world.
“We worked with some the most renowned names in the wine industry for more than a year so that our guests can easily savor some of the most highly rated wines during theirs stay,” says Hoyt Harper, global brand leader for Sheraton. Some of the wineries selected for your enjoyment include Chateau Ste. Michelle, Northstar and champagne Nicolas Feuillatte. Indeed, the selection is stellar; all choices received at least 85+ rating by Wine Spectator.
While these varietals can be enjoyed in the privacy of hotel rooms, Sheraton hopes to get its guests out of their rooms. Social Hour, hotel’s afford to foster social interaction among its patrons, will host evening tasting events few times weekly.
The folks at Sheraton are very optimistic about this oenological endeavor. Piloted at 19 of its global properties, the program received an impressive stamp of approval by participants, who not only enjoyed the offerings, but also indicated they would likely purchase featured wines to take home.
How they plan on transporting it in their luggage without breaking, well that’s another story.
