Kitchit, a virtual concierge of top chefs, asks you to consider the following for next time you plan an event:
In lieu of spending hours mulling over restaurants to accommodate a meeting of your rowdy group of bankers, or well-traveled real estate professionals or, heaven forbid, vegans, have the chef come to you.
“Kitchit’s bespoke dinning services take the stress and guesswork out of planning and makes it possible for the members to have access to the best chefs in the region,” explains Brendan Marshall, founder and CEO.
The inner workings of the service are as simple as making scrambled eggs. Kitchit collects info on budgets, head count – anywhere from two to two hundred – desired cuisine and then spews out a winner. And the roster of participants reads like an episode of Top Chef. Marcel Vigneron, Anita Lo and Floyd Cardoz are all available for your next bespoke experience. The chosen one will arrive at a designated space with ingredients and equipment to dazzle you with his or her skills. Sommelier and mixologists round out the Kitchit’s culinary battalion.
When it comes to planning a menu, well…that’s where it gets deliciously complicated. Want to wow them? How bout belon oyster in a hibiscus/cilantro oil or hamachi in yuzu with green peppercorn and sevruga caviar. Comfort food is better suited for your group? Then Roasted chicken coated with Orange Spice deboned and sliced with a glace de viande on the side will do ya.
All you have to do is pick. How about them apples?
For now the service is available in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. But rumor has it Kitchit has its sights on expansion.
