Both Napa and Sonoma counties are bouncing back from the wildfires that devastated much of Northern California’s wine country last October.

Among the things bouncing back is the hospitality market, specifically the reopening of Kenwood Inn & Spa, situated on Sonoma Highway (Highway 12) in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Five months have passed, and the property recently debuted an extensive renovation after suffering damage from smoke and high winds. In addition to damage cleanup, a refresh included all 29 guest rooms and suites as well as the lobby, cabanas and other public spaces at the inn.

Unique touches include the new oak and black marble reception desk and the 12-foot antique Italian walnut trestle table, located in the Cucina eating area where the inn serves complimentary breakfast. The inn features indoor meeting space for groups of about 50 attendees, while its 2.5-acre setting provides ample space for outdoor events. Additionally, a remodeled spa will debut later this summer.

The inn is ideal for executive retreats, especially for groups looking to takeover a venue and make it their own. Attendees can spend time exploring the property’s three lush courtyards or take a dip in its heated pool and two hot tubs. Fireplaces in each room, the sparkling-wine welcome upon arrival and daily Magic Hour serving up wine and cheese pairings all add to its quaintness. Beyond the inn, Sonoma County’s wine country awaits, with several wineries dotting Sonoma Highway and enticing attendees to partake in wine tours and tastings aplenty.
