Nothing spells success for a meetings or incentive venue better than stunning meeting space, tranquil surroundings, delicious food and quality guest services. Even better is the ability for meeting planners to pay a set price upfront and not have to worry about going over budget.
Enter the newly flagged Hard Rock Hotel Cancun where all-inclusive meeting package pricing meets dynamic accommodations, fine dining, all hotel taxes/gratuities, on-property sports and activities and more importantly, unlimited private functions for groups that include a choice of meeting and event space, set-ups, breaks and private plated or buffet meals.
We spoke with Hard Rock Cancun’s corporate sales director, Enrique Martin Del Campo, CMP, to talk about the significant added values for group events.
PREVUE: Planners already know about the values inherent in the all-inclusive pricing model. How are you different?
DEL CAMPO: We’re the only hotel company where when you do groups with us, we give you a per person rate, which might seem a little bit more expensive than some of the other hotels around here. But the bottom line is just the opposite. With the per person rate, you can have a welcome reception, cocktail reception, coffee break, meeting venue—even a final night dinner. All that’s included in the per person rate. The only additional costs would be special events, but all the basic services will be included.”
Are business services and WiFi also included?
When you’re doing meetings or conventions, sometimes it’s frustrating for participants not to have internet access where they can’t continue working. What we do in our properties, we have free internet and wireless throughout the property so you can work anywhere you are. And we also have free telephone calls so from you’re room you can call anywhere in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. That’s an important plus for business professionals who have to stay in touch.
What can conference attendees expect in terms of F&B?
We try to make it easy for our customers. So many people are afraid that at all-inclusives, the quality won’t be there, either in service or product. That’s just the opposite from what we’re doing. We have a la carte restaurants, 24-hour room service and premium liquors throughout the property. We’ve even added another restaurant to this property to give more options to our groups. The idea is to bring a five-star experience to our meeting customers. Sometimes you go to a beautiful hotel, go out by the pool and order a margarita and they charge you $14. Here, you put your wallet in the safe and forget about it.
