Del Frisco’s Steakhouse
Inside the newly renovated landmark Esquire Theater in Chicago, the 24,000-sf Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House is one of the largest steak houses in the city, located 15 minutes from the convention center. The 500-seat restaurant opened this month in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood, occupying three floors draped with chandeliers and a 50-ft glass wine tower. Throughout the steakhouse, groups can view striking pieces of art with modern colors and textures showcasing the industrial lifestyle of Chicago.
The steakhouse specializes in bold flavors including USDA prime meats wet-aged for 28 days and dry-aged steaks broiled to temperature, prepared by Executive Chef Jim Teutemacher. In addition to the mouthwatering meats, the menu highlights local favorites like cheesy deep dish pizzas and Chicago-style beef hot dogs. Other menu selections include the jumbo lump crab cakes finished with Cajun lobster sauce, creamy Mac ‘n’ Cheese and flavorful King Crab gnocchi.
The dessert menu includes the tangy Lemon Doberge 6-layer cake frosted with three different icings made daily.
The restaurant features two bars and an 11,000-bottle wine selection. The variety of choices are handpicked by Director of Wine, David O’Day. The specialty cocktails on the menu include The VIP martinimadewith Hawaiian pineapples soaked in premium vodka. The Del’s Manhattan is a classic choice for those who prefer quality bourbon and a warm kick.
Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House has a special concierge for groups who will assist with private and semi-private dining for up to 200 pax. There are four private areas, one of which can be split into two sections for larger groups. A display kitchen on the third floor oversees the dining areas where groups can hang out with the chefs.
For outside dining there is a private terrace on the second floor overlooking historic Oak Street seating 25 pax.
